Non-nano Zinc Oxide – A natural – non-toxic mineral blocker of a wider range of harmful UVA and UVB rays that stops penetration into the skin. It is considered a physical sunscreen as opposed to chemical sunscreen. I am a black women with medium dark skinned tone. The first time I used this product I used a quarter sized amount (which is what I see as generous), however it was too much product. The amount I put on left a lot of product on my skin, for one thing. When you put a lot on, it’s completely white, however when I put really small amounts, I’m able to evenly distribute it which leaves a white cast that I feel does fade a bit. You have to trial and error on what is the right amount for you. I do wish it was a better container that allows for more control in distributing the product. Though there is olive oil in this cream, you have to hydrate your face to the point that it is still slippery and quickly apply the sunscreen for an easy and smooth application. Overall though, I’m glad to have a sunscreen that’s not disrupting my hormones(yikes).

I’ve tried many natural and organic sunscreens but this one I really like a lot. I’m not a fan of me and my children looking chalky-white so I chose the tan tinted sunscreen with hesitance. I was happily surprised at how it went on the skin nicely without looking like a “fake tan” lotion. The best part is it protected my family from sunburn.
