The Effects Of Vitamin E on Your Skin

Vitamins, minerals, and botanicals are considered to be the main contributors to clean, supple, and radiant skin. This list also includes vitamin E, which some individuals takes as a supplement. But is vitamin E actually beneficial for maintaining healthy skin, or is it just a marketing stunt? Let’s see.

Vitamin E is renowned for its miraculous abilities! You name it, and vitamin E will work its magic to improve immunity, prevent cancer, and improve skin. Getting enough of it is crucial for your general health because it also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities. The benefits of vitamin E for skin health is well-known.

How Does Vitamin E Help the Skin?

  • Serves As a Cleaner: Cleansing skin pores of clogged dirt and other pollutants is an excellent use of vitamin E oil. To clean your face, dab a cotton ball with a few drops of vitamin E oil.
  • Preventing Wrinkles and Ageing: Antioxidant-rich vitamin E has an impact on blood circulation. The firmness and structure of people’s skin may change as a result of using vitamin E oil in your skin care products.
  • Makes skin Soft & Smooth: Due to its oil-soluble nature, it absorbs quickly and penetrates deeply into the skin, naturally hydrating it and leaving your skin feeling smooth and soft. It enhances water binding, which hydrates the skin more effectively.
  • Treats Stretch Marks: The scariest part of life after childbirth is having stretch marks. While it doesn’t hurt, it does appear unsightly where numerous gels and ointments have failed to lessen it. Stretch marks can be surprisingly reduced in appearance by applying vitamin E oil topically to the affected area.
  • Hair growth: Vitamin E, which is usually present in hair serums, promotes blood flow to the hair roots, which enhances hair growth.
  • Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant

Vitamin E is an antioxidant.  As a result, when it is added to oils, it will aid in extending an oil’s shelf life.

At Be Natural Organics, Shimmer, Evening Eye Repair Night Serum, and Bio-Recovery Evening Repair are just a few of our products that contain significant amounts of vitamin E. To know more, visit

Why Is It Crucial To Verify Organic Skincare Products?

In response to consumer preferences around the world, retailers now prominently display organic and natural skin care products in their stores. But how do we know if these products are truly clean, organic and toxin free?

Since the usage and marketing of the terms “Natural or Organic” are uncontrolled, products with these labels do not come with any assurances. Unfortunately, manufacturers can falsely label their products as “organic” or “natural” even though they include chemically processed, poisonous, and chemically enhanced substances without the knowledge of the consumer.

Since many people believe that “Natural and Organic” items don’t contain hazardous chemicals or artificial perfumes and that their contents are processed in a healthy manner, it is crucial to check for a reliable seal or certification to ensure you are getting a product that is safe.

EWG Verified Seal (Environmental Working Group)

Among the thousands of consumer goods available, knowing which things are healthier and safer for your family can be overwhelming. The EWG-verified seal takes care of the research for you. When a product displays the EWG Verified seal, you can be sure it complies with the EWG requirements and is free of all harmful chemicals.

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) is one of the largest non-profit organizations to safeguard US citizens from dangerous chemical exposure. The strictest standards for quality, traceability, and transparency are used in their thorough evaluation methods for each ingredient.

The EWG Verified seal indicates that:

  • No components from EWG’s “Unacceptable” list are present in the goods.
  • The ingredient list is completely traceable and transparent.
  • Best manufacturing methods are used to guarantee the safety of the products.

At Be Natural Organics, we are thrilled to announce that we are having our products EWG VERIFIED. The EWG VERIFIED seal is awarded to products that have passed a rigorous protocol of traceability and ingredient purity, such as our Squalane Serum and Squalane Light Serum, which fights free radicals and skin damage, both of which can quicken the aging process. We will always work to provide you with products that are of the greatest quality and integrity since we feel that the most beautiful skin is healthy skin.

Looking for a pure light serum or something richer?

Best of all, they are
both EWG Verified

Our Squalane Serum consists of one incredible ingredient – Olives! Our Squalane Serum is an extremely potent antioxidant; combating free-radicals and the damage they cause to the skin. This makes it particularly nice for those who spend a lot of time in the sun or are dealing with sun damage.

Our Squalane Light Serum is 100% derived from the sugar cane plant which is much lighter oil than our original olive derived Squalane Serum. Squalane made with sugar cane is odorless and prevents moisture loss so that your skin will retain its current flexibility giving a more luminous appearance.

Serums VS Moisturizers?

The beauty of a serum is the potency of the product. Serums are more potent than moisturizers and have a greater variety of functions. Serums contain concentrations of antioxidants, vitamins, essential fatty acids and micronutrients that nourish the skin on a cellular level for a youthful appearance. Serums contain smaller molecules which enable the serum to penetrate deeper into the skin for optimal absorption of ingredients.

The biggest difference between a serum and a moisturizer is what the serum does NOT include. Serums leave out the occlusive moisturizing ingredients, fillers and thickening agents which dilutes the efficacy of a product.

Serum Costs

Because active ingredients are more expensive than thickeners and fillers, serums are usually the costliest product in many skin care lines.

Serum Benefits

  • Absorbs deep into the skin for optimal absorption of actives
  • Tightens and smooths skin
  • Improves skin’s texture
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles

How to Apply Serums:

Adding a serum to your daily beauty routine? Here’s how to apply for maximum effect. After cleansing your face, apply a pea-sized amount of serum, patting it evenly over skin with your fingers until absorbed. Re-apply if needed.

NOTE: Never add a serum over a moisturizer. The thicker, heavier ingredients in creams & lotions are designed to form a barrier on your skin to hold hydration in. But they can also lock active ingredients out. Serums always go on first if layering.

When to Apply Serums

Serums penetrate the skin’s surface a lot better while you’re asleep and your body goes through its circadian rhythm for the nightly process of renewal and rejuvenation as we sleep.

Moisturizers have a simpler job; they are meant to hydrate the skin and prevent water loss. Some have added anti-aging ingredients, so they can do double duty for your skin, but their main role is to get hydration into the skin and keep it there.

In order to address mature or dry skin, you’ll want to combine your moisturizer with a quality serum for renewal.

NO Nanoparticle and NO nasty chemicals.

MINERAL The most natural, safe protection. Contains the only two ingredients recognized by the FDA as safe.

  • Zinc Oxide- nano-particle free, nontoxic, broad spectrum for UVA and UVB naturally healing, safe for people with melasma or rosacea (flare ups brought on by heat)
  • Titanium Dioxide-nano-particle free– nano-particle free, nontoxic, broad spectrum for UVA and UVB, also safe for heat activated skin issues.

Safe for our bodies

  • The minerals are absorbed into the skin immediately for protection against the sun and then sit on the skin’s surface and physically prevent UV and UVA rays from penetrating your skin. Helps prevent skin cancer. There are no known side effects.

Safe for our environment

  • No known issues to the environment, sustainably mined and recycled.
  • No known issues to marine life- fish, coral, reefs.

With this in mind, BNO’s Natural Sunscreen (tinted, Tan,and tint free), has Zinc Oxide and additional natural ingredients to moisturize and nourish while protecting your skin with

  • Olive oil- Organic, fights free radicals, moisturizing
  • Jojoba Oil- Organic, natural humectant
  • Shea Butter- Natural,an emollient, high amounts of vitamin E

Natural oils are safe for our body and the environment

Our body needs the sun’s vitamin D for healthy bones, our immune system, and its mood boosting powers. However, remember to always protect your skin with sunscreen, hydration, and a great moisturizer. BNO has our Organic Sunscreen in tan, nude, and tint free plus a luxurious line of after sun moisturizers.

NANOPARTICLES or Nano’s that are in CHEMICAL sunscreens have the power to cause large amounts of damage to our bodies and our earth.

  • Damage to our Bodies-because nanos are so small, they can penetrate deep into your skin and also into your body and lungs via inhalation, posing many threats including possible organ damage. Studies have also revealed the development of cancer, endocrine reproductive disruption and DNA mutation in humans.
  • Damage to our Environment-Just as nanos can affect humans it also disrupts our environment. With the super small size of nanos, they can infiltrate and survive in wastewater plants that run into our streams, rivers, and waterways that end up in the soil food is grown in. Our oceans and sea life are also affected by the nano interaction in seawater with UV light as it produces Hydrogen Peroxide, which has been shown to inhibit phytoplankton growth, a vital nutrient for reefs, its inhabitants, and many species of living coral.

CHEMICALS These chemicals are known to cause damage to both our bodies and our environment. The FDA is now calling for more testing on chemical sunscreens and the ingredients not always fully listed by name, specifically the inactive ingredients, preservatives (methylisothiazolinone), and fillers that can also be harmful.

Look on your sunscreen bottle, these chemicals below have dangerous effects

DAMAGE to our Bodies

  • Oxybenzone – Hormone disruptor, skin reactions, absorption into breast milk, amniotic fluids, blood and urine
  • Avobenzone – Toxic with chlorine, cause skin allergies and is a hormone disruptor

DAMAGE to our Environment

  • Oxybenzone- Damage to coral and reef DNA, causes “reef zombies” coral that appears to be living but can now longer reproduce, it has been banned in Hawaii
  • Avobenzone- Does damage to reefs and sea life

Hawaii is the first state in the U.S. to legally ban chemical sunscreens. Chemical sunscreens contain oxybenzone and octinoxate which destroy coral reefs, fish and pollute the water.

As part of our mission to protect the earth, BE NATURAL ORGANICS will ONLY sell our Physical Organic Sunscreen that is 100% chemical and nano particle free and safe for the environment.

The recommended SPF 30 is to protect the skin from harmful UVA & UVB rays that can cause premature aging & skin cancer. For healthier skin we have included vitamins A, D, & E to nurture and retain moisture in skin.

Hyaluronic Acid Molecules

It is vital to maintain proper hydration in all layers of the skin for optimal skin health. Be Natural Organics’ Hyaluronic Serum contains three different weight molecules to deliver hydration and support from the epidermis down to the hypodermis.

Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid – This is the smallest size molecule and is able to penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin (the hypodermis) where most cellular repair takes place. It binds to water molecules, pushing them into the lower layers of skin to prevent dehydration there.

Medium Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid – These medium-sized molecules bind more water than the low molecular weight molecules and are able to penetrate into the middle layers of the skin where cellular activity takes place. It may offer a more immediate visual effect on the complexion as it hydrates and softens wrinkles.

High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid  This is the largest size molecule which holds the most water (up to 1000 times its weight). This smooths and plumps the skin, improving the appearance of fine lines.

NOTE: Our hyaluronic acid is produced through the fermentation of barley and other grains by Bacillus subtilis bacteria.

  • Vegan
  • Non-GMO.

We all know the importance of sunscreen in the summer but not all realize it’s extremely important in the winter months too. I didn’t until I started investigating for this blog.

Did you know?

  • Snow and ice actually intensify and reflect up to 90% of UV rays.
  • UV rays and sun damage can cause skin cancer.
  • UV rays are responsible for those nasty wrinkles we don’t want, the number is a staggering 90%.
  • Even if it’s a cloudy day the sun still comes through.
  • Winter sport enthusiasts are at a higher risk, so sunscreen is a must!
  • Skiers and snowboarders’ risk of UV damage is increased by 4-5% for every 1000 feet they are above sea level.
  • The ozone layer is our UV protector, but is at its thinnest during winter months.
  • The blustery wind, cold temps, dryness, windburn and yes sunburn all combine to make your skin more susceptible to damage and premature wrinkling.
  • 30 SPF is the recommended number for best coverage applied every 3-4 hours.

BE NATURAL ORGANICS sunscreen is 100% chemical and nano FREE. Our sunscreen is used to fight sun damage, is a foundation and a moisturizer, what more could you ask for? It is the recommended 30 SPF, comes in tan, nude, and no tint and 3 sizes that are perfect to always have on hand. So, this winter bundle up, put on a smile and wear that sunscreen!

Borage oil is derived from the seeds of the Borage plant also known as Borago Officinalis or Starflower, its color and shape are beautiful, but the rest looks like the torturous man-eating plant from the Little Shop of Horrors movie. That visual aside, what this little plant can do for your skincare regimen is amazing and is found in BE NATURAL ORGANICS SHIMMER OIL

The best active found in Borage oil is the GLA. It has the highest content of GLA (gamma linolenic acid) found, even more than evening primrose oil which packs quite a punch of GLA itself. I know our customers are very well versed in organic ingredients; however, for the newbies let me tell you about a lovely GLA also known as King’s cure-all. This acid is an omega 6 fatty polyunsaturated acid that is excellent for problematic, dry skin and is extremely soothing for all skin types, believe me you want this in your skincare products! Shimmer also contains raspberry seed oil from Poland that contains collagen and ravages free radicals and macadamia nut oil from Australia with its Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids is age defying. Believe me when I say BNO searches the globe for the most pure and potent ingredients for our products.
